Visitor arrivals to Samoa still increasing

APIA: 8 March 2010: Samoa welcomed 5.4 percent more visitors in 2009 compared to the year before, the Samoa Tourism Authority announced this month. The Tourism Authority said the country received 128,804 visitors last year, injecting WST304.3 million into the economy, a marked improvement over the 122,163 visitors it received in 2008.

APIA: 5 March 2010: The New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority has found TVNZ in breach of standard broadcasting laws in relation to a news item claiming widespread gangs and drugs and gun smuggling in Samoa.
