APIA: MONDAY 18 MAY 2015: The Staff at the BOC Vaitele will be safe from fire in their homes for some time to come thanks to BOC and their supplier PSL Fire and Safety.

“As a major local supplier of portable fire protection such as fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and fire blankets, we felt that we should set the example and make our staff safe first,” said the Country Manager for BOC Samoa, Andy McCallum.

“I approached PSL Fire and Safety in New Zealand and asked whether they could assist in making our staff safe at home. As our supplier of our PSL fire extinguishers, smoke alarms hose reels and fire signage, PSL were more than happy to help”.

Cherie Holt, International Sales, PSL was quick to respond. “It is a very good thing BOC Samoa is doing to educate their staff about fire protection in their homes.  It was our pleasure to assist Andy with this so we arranged enough fire extinguishers and smoke alarms free of charge for all of his team with our shipment”, Ms Holt was quoted as saying.

“BOC is committed to safety for all of its workers, contractors and customers” said Keneti Saufoi, BOC Sales Manager, pictured here with the BOC team.

“Just look out for our full page safety tips every Saturday in The Observer. To reinforce this commitment we have just launched our new BOC Samoa Footwear and Safety Catalogue for 2015-16”.

The catalogue shows off BOC’s range of quality boots, clothing, and ear- eye- and head- protection as well as first aid kits and fire equipment. Brands include Escape, Umatta, BOC, Bisley, Fastaid, Flamefighter and Visionsafe. All items pictured are carried in stock at all times at the BOC Gas and Gear store in Vaitele.
