Germany donates new Ambulance for Fire and Emergency Services

APIA: MONDAY 17 March 2014: The Fire and Emergency Services today received a new Ambulance form the government of Germany. The handover ceremony this morning was held at the Fire and Emergency Services office.

The German Honorary Consul in Samoa, Arne Schreiber handed over the keys for the Ambulance to the Chairman of the Fire and Emergency Services, Leta’a Dan Devoe.

Arne Schreiber acknowledged the work of Wolfgang Drewes of the Fire and Emergency services in Germany, for bringing the Ambulance Project here to help the people of Samoa.

The Fire and Emergency Services Chairman Leta’a Dan Devoe thanked the government of Germany and the German Honorary in Samoa, Arne Schreiber for donating the ambulance for the Fire and Emergency services with their partnership with the Ministry of Health.

The ambulance costs $85,000. This is the 3rd ambulance to be used by the Fire and Emergency services in their work.
