Hard gentleman captains Manu Samoa

APIA: THURSDAY 08 NOVEMBER 2012: The hard running and determined loose head prop Sakaria Taulafo will captain the Manu Samoa in its opening test of its Northern Hemisphere tour against Canada this Saturday morning Samoan time. Fly half Tusi Pisi will direct play from the backline as Vice Captain. Of the appointed 23, five (5) players will be playing their debut game for the Manu Samoa.

They are Teofilo Paulo (Auckland Blues), Foma’i Tiavani Foma’i (Hawkes Bay), Setaimata Sa (former Sydney Roosters and Kiwi league convert) and the two local based players, Robert Lilomaiava and Ropeti Lafo who is on the bench.

Tour Captain David Lemi was not considered for selection due to lower back injury but Team Doctor Sean Mauiliu is confident that Lemi should be ready for the next game against Wales.

Kick off time will be 8:15pm on 9th Nov 2012 which is 1015 am 10 Saturday Samoan time.
