APIA, SAMOA – TUESDAY 01 NOVEMBER 2016: Sharing the same biblical values, and aspirations on international issues are two of the core factors in the strong diplomatic ties between Israel and Samoa.
This was echoed by Israel’s new Ambassador Designate to Samoa, His Excellency Dr. Itzhak Gerberg when he presented his credentials to His Highness the Head of State, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi this morning.
“Israel is an ancient nation rooted in the Holy Land of Israel, whose birth certificate is the Bible, and we are proud that Jewish values espoused by the prophets are centre to our shared human principles,” said Ambassador Gerberg.

“Despite a continued threat to our existence, Israel wishes to live in secure borders while enjoying real and lasting peace,” said Ambassador Gerberg.
“I will make every possible effort to strengthen the already existing friendly bilateral relations between our two countries while deepening our cooperation and people to people ties,” he said.
“Israel will be happy to share its experience with Samoa to build human capacity.”
On the international platform, His Highness said both countries share a common interest in the pursuit for prosperity, peace and security in their own region and beyond.
