Joseph Parker to reveal new punch this Saturday’s Rumble in Paradise

Joseph Parker with a young fan in Apia

APIA, SAMOA: THURSDAY 21 JANUARY 2016: Fans support of Lupesoliai Laauli Joseph Parker continued to flow in Apia, Samoa today, with a local fan presenting him a painting of the boxer he had created on a large canvas.

Trainer Kevin Barry has revealed Parker will attempt to unveil a new punch this weekend against southpaw, Jason Bergman.  It has been practiced behind closed doors for 12 months.

Parker has knocked out recent opponents with head shots but this weekend Barry hopes his fighter can unveil a devastating liver shot, specifically thrown by orthodox fighters against southpaw opponents which, if delivered precisely, will have the potential to stop the fight in any round, no matter who is ahead on the scorecards.

Meanwhile, the heavy weight contender has signed with ‘Under Amour’ an up and coming brand in the world that signs rising stars.

The brand is distributed by Eveni Carruthers and crowds filled the Eveni store with eager fans awaiting the chance to get a signature and photo with the boxer.

Fans enjoyed the opportunity, from young contenders to the old as they flocked the store for a chance with the Heavy weight Contender. During their signing they also had an in-house one day special where 20% was discounted from all Under Armour products.

I.H.Carruthers Ltd has been trading in Samoa since 1929. They were a major trader in copra and cocoa in the 1950’s and 1960’s and has now become a leading apparel business with ‘elei’ based brands including Eveni Kids, Eveni Pacific, Koko Pacific, Garlands Pacific and Eveni Sport.
