Lawyer asking to discharge client without conviction on drug charges

APIA, SAMOA – THURSDAY 11 OCTOBER 2018: A 50 year old Canadian is applying to the court in Apia for a discharge without conviction ruling, through his lawyer Lefau Harry Schuster.

Earnest William Rockcliffe, pleaded guilty to possession of narcotics and utensils and Justice Tafaomalo Tuala-Warren has asked the prosecution and defence lawyers for their submissions before Friday when the matter will be heard.

Last month, Customs and police discovered narcotics on the yacht belonging to

Police has since cordoned off the yacht at the Matautu-ti wharf.

Rockcliffe is currently on bail.
