APIA: 17 April 2012: The charges against the former President of the Chamber of Commerce, Lemalu Sina Retzlaff have been finalized.
Prosecution yesterday requested to withdraw two charges as there were not enough evidence to support it.
Judge Vaepule Vaemoa Va’ai granted the application and the charges have been withdrawn and dismissed.
There were originally ten charges before and now eight remain.
Counsel for Lemalu, Brenda Heather Latu told the court that a letter had been received and the first complainant had asked to withdraw all charges but the second complainant however wanted to continue proceedings.
Judge Vaepule Vaemoa Va’ai adjourned the matter without plea for mention on Friday this week and current conditions of bail to continue.
