APIA: 9 October 2010: In the growing and competitive car and retail market in Samoa, new supermarket and car yard Maota Samoa and Napro Samoa at Vaitele, today held its public draw for winners of its promotion that has been running since the operation was opened in May this year.

A Japanese made car was on exhibit and customers purchasing $200 worth of goods from the Maota Samoa Supermarket, the Maota Petrol Station and Napro Samoa go into the draw. However, two weeks ago, management added a second 4 door sedan vehicle as the second prize, splitting the sales between the petrol station and supermarket.

Proprietor La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao said the difference is that this promotion, the customer is rewarded for their purchases when other car promotions require the customers to buy a ticket in order to enter the draw.

The two vehicles were first blessed by Revrends Ieriko Nomeneta Sopoaga of the Alamagoto Congregational Christian Church and Pastor Misa Esoto of the Worship Centre, before the tickets were blown up in the Digivault before the two tickets were draw under Police supervision.

Ilsen Stunzer of Alafua won the first car and Piki of Vaitele won the second. La’auli said management will look at having another vehicle for the second promotion.

The Maota Samoa supermarket and petrol station is located opposite the Faleata Sports Complex and serves the fast growing Vaitele residential and surrounding business and industrial area.
