APIA: WEDNESDAY 28 AUGUST 2013: The new Commissioner for Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) said he was humbled by his appointment.
Taueva Lelevaga Samoata Faafouina Mupo said he will continue to serve to the best of his ability.
Throughout his career in the fire service of over 20 years he served in various divisions and his experience gathered from that will help guide him in his new post, Taueva said.
He replaces Seve Tony Hill.
The new Commissioner has over 20 years of experience in fire and emergency services as well as staff management, says Ministry of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Press Secretariat in announcing the new appointment.
“Taueva was awarded the United Nations Medal for Service (UNMISET) in 2003,” it says.
“He has taken part in numerous specialised training programmes in his field, both locally and internationally as well as being a member of several Government committees and organisations.
“(Taueva) is a Deacon of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa in his village of Faleasiu. He is 45 years of age and married with six children.”
