New Zealands new envoy presents credentials

APIA: TUESDAY 05 FEBRUARY 2013: The new High Commissioner of New Zealand to Samoa, H.E Mrs Jacqueline Anne Frizelle presented her credentials this morning to the Member of the Council of Deputies, Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aleto’a Sualauvi 11 at the Government House, Moto’otua.

Her Excellency is a career diplomat with over twenty years experience. She was the Director of Strategy and Effectiveness for the New Zealand Aid Programme, where her responsibilities include strategic policy and research, intellectual leadership, evaluation, quality assurance and representation.

From 1995 to 2001, she was appointed Development Economist, Development Cooperation Division of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Prior to her joining the Foreign Ministry, she was with the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries as Manager for Sustainable Agriculture Programme, MAF Policy Division. She also worked in the Solomon Islands as Advisor to the Solomon Islands Ministry of Agriculture.

Mrs. Frizelle holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from Lincoln University of Canterbury.

Her posting is for three years.

The Member of the Council of Deputies, Afioga Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aleto’a Sualauvi II presided over the ceremony as His Highness, the Head of State is away overseas on duty travel.
