APIA, SAMOA – FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2016: The police are investigating the death of 3 people in 3 separate incidents.

The Police spokesperson, Superintendent Su’a Lemalu Tiumalu confirms that the first incident involved a 27 year old man from Siumu and Letogo who got electrocuted while working at home.

“The man was working on cementing his house at night and he was holding a 12 foot light bulb to give light to his work while he worked with the other hand,” Su’a explained.

Su’a suspects there was a problem with the extension cord that might have caused the electrocution.

The second death is a 44 year old male who fell from a coconut tree at Se’ese’e.

“There was an injury to the back of his head and his body,” said Su’a.

The 3rd death was a 22 year old man who went fishing with a friend last Friday. Reports from the Tuasivi police outpost said the friends parted ways when they reached the sea.

“After an hour, one of the friends saw the deceased floating,” said Su’a.
