APIA, SAMOA: TUESDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2015: Police have asked for public assistance in their search for a car allegedly belonging to a Member of Parliament that was involved in a hit and run incident last Friday 18 September at Taufusi.
The incident happened in the afternoon between the Taufusi market and Nettie’s supermarket.
Eyewitness reports say the victim was a young boy who was walking towards the shop when the speeding car knocked him down.
The car did not stop but eye witnesses told police the car belongs to an MP but because the car was traveling fast, they could not identify the license plate number. Eye witness also suspect the car was driven by a woman at the time of the incident.
The victim of the incident was rushed to the hospital where he received medical treatment and was later discharged.
