APIA: Wednesday 16 May 2012: The results of the post mortem on Togia Rapi Isalei of Faleatiu who died during the police raid last week is expected to be announced soon in Court.

The Assistant Police Commissioner, Leaupepe Fatu Pula confirmed that the post mortem on Togia was conducted on Saturday 12th May 2012 but only the Court can release the results.

The operation was conducted by a specialist from New Zealand.

The special operation determines whether the bullet that killed Togia was either from a police weapon or someone else’s gun.

Togia’s father, Lelevaga Isalei Talimatasi believes that there should be a special investigation into the bullets that wounded the police officers.

“We do not have guns and we did not shoot at the police,” Lelevaga told Talamua.

He believes that the police officers were wounded by their own bullets. But the Police Commissioner said the officers never had the chance to leave their vehicles as they were shot at first.

Lelevaga told Talamua that he has forgiven whoever killed his son. Togia will be laid to rest this coming Thursday.
