Qualifications Authority Signs Memorandums of Agreement with Two Post School Education Providers

APIA, SAMOA: THURSDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2016: The Samoa Qualifications Authority (SQA) is sign its first Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Apia Harvest Centre Bible College (AHCBC) on Friday 12th  February, 2016. The SQA will also sign the second round of MoA with South Pacific Nazarene Theological College (SPNTC) at the SQA Conference Room, Level 2, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi Building, Sogi.   AHCBC and SPNTC are registered Post School Education and Training (PSET) Providers with the SQA.

The MoA is a mechanism designed to strengthen working relationships between the SQA and its partners in the PSET sub-sector. It provides a range of cooperative measures to promote collaboration in the pursuit of educational quality and excellence, and towards achieving Samoa’s national education goals for PSET.

This first MOA with AHCBC provides a platform for both parties to work collaboratively in the formal education and training area. The second round of MOA with SPNTC supports continuation of the collaborative progress between the two parties on a variety of initiatives in formal post school education and training education.

The  establishment  of  these  Agreements  recognizes  the  shared  commitment  of  SQA  and  the  PSET providers to strengthen the contribution of the PSET sub-sector towards the achievement of the overall mission of Samoa’s Strategic Development Strategy of ‘improving the quality of life for all’.

Acting CEO-SQA Kovi Fonoti-Aiolupotea will be present with representatives from AHCBC and SPNTC to sign the MOAs at 10:00am at the SQA Conference Room.
