Samoa Rugby League benefits from $15,000 funding from Sportslotto

APIA, SAMOA – WEDNESDAY 27 JULY 2016: Samoa National Lotto today donated $15,000 talā to help Rugby League Samoa’s various development projects.

The cheque was presented by Samoa SportsLotto’s Chief Executive Officer, Tuala Talamalelagi Siaki Tuala to the President of National Rugby League Samoa, Su’a Tagaloa Fa’afouina Su’a.

“The funds will be used for the local development of the sport,” said Su’a. “These developments include tournaments that have been held throughout the year and recently in Savai’i. It will also provide for greater awareness of the sport in the country.”

Tuala also wished the Rugby League President all the best for the team which will be heading to Hawaii in August for the Ohana Cup Tournament where they will face off with Tonga.

This team will comprise of local players as well as players from New Zealand and Australia. The tournament starts 20 August.
