Samoan Insurance Company opens office in London

APIA: 14 August 2009 – A local company, The Federal Pacific Insurance has opened an office in the heart of the world’s insurance capital in London. The opening was celebrated in Apia this week in conjunction with the company’s tenth anniversary. The new office is located at Lloyds Avenue in Central London in association with Contractors Bonding Limited – CBL.

CBL’s Managing Director Peter Harris and the Director of the London office, Adam Masingham were in Samoa for the opening ceremony.

Federal Pacific established office in Samoa in 1999 representing Lloyds of London and various underwriters in New Zealand and Australia.

It established an office in Tonga in 2004 and is looking at expanding to other Pacific countries in the future. General Manager, Namulauulu Sami Leota said Federal Pacific Insurance has built a reputation of being innovative in bringing a fresh approach to the industry in Samoa.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi congratulated the owner Alistair Hutchinson and the company for the expansion and encouraged other local businesses to look at expanding overseas as the local market is so small.
