Talamua Medias original offices burnt last Saturday morning

APIA: The original offices of Talamua Media & Publications at the 4 corners, Togafu’afu’a, were gutted by fire last Saturday morning.

The Samoan styled fale which was turned into offices in 1993 and named Talamua House, was used a storage when the company relocated to the Nia Mall at Fugalei two years ago.

Managing Director, Angela Kronfeld-Polu says valuable material such as the manual and electronic equipment that the company started off with in 1993, were kept at the house with the intention of keeping them in a small company museum. All has been lost including the old records and archival material.

The family is not ruling out arson as neighbors said young men had been drinking by the premises when it caught fire.

The family property has a residential house next door which the Fire and Emergency Crew managed to save as they contained the fire to the Talamua House.

Talamua Media & Publications was founded by journalist and broadcaster Apulu Lance in 1993 and has since developed as a multi-media company that owns the Talamua Online News, the Samoa Business Directories and its dedicated website, the Samoa FM Radio, does graphic design and printing and television work.
