In a separate incident last week, a delivery truck drove through Taito’s mini shop car park at Vailele ramming into a man sitting at a table infront of the shop.
According to police records, the designated truck driver allowed his co-worker to drive the truck when they came near Vailele village, and the co-worker drove the truck straight towards the area where people were sitting.
The victim of the incident was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Reports said the tables and chairs stopped the truck from driving all the way into the shop. The driver is charged with negligent driving.
